Shishu Niketan Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector 22-D, Chandigarh came into existence in the year 1953 as the first private school of Chandigarh and the auspicious beginning so made, today proclaims its momentous accomplishments in academic as well as non- academic fields. Over the years we have grown into one of tri-city's leading group of institutions, providing academic excellence to our students. This is facilitated by dedicated educators who are trained to channelize their energy and resources towards child-centered qualitative learning.

Started by the Founder Principal Mrs. Suchinta Khorana in 1953 in a rented accommodation with just two students, the school today has its own spacious and imposing building in an area of about 3 acres in Sector 22-D, Chandigarh, with about 3000 students on its roll. Over the years the school has widened its expanse and now proudly runs a branch in Nayagaon as well.

Furnished with all the modern facilities, the school apprises its students with the latest know-how via well equipped labs, smart classes and multimedia devices with the support of highly qualified, sincere and dedicated teachers.
